Official Record Contacts

This private reference is not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, arrange release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Use the public offices and facilities below for those matters.

Ray County Records and Custody

The Sheriff’s Office is the first official contact for a current Ray County arrest because the Henrietta jail is no longer a full-service detention facility. Ask where the person is being held and whether a transfer occurred. The County Clerk is the countywide custodian for a written Sunshine request, including a request for public portions of a booking or transfer record.

Ray County Clerk and Courthouse

100 W. Main Street, Suite 23
Richmond, MO 64085
Courthouse: 816-776-4502
Criminal Circuit Clerk: 816-776-3377
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Use the county’s Sunshine request form to identify the person, record type, and date range. Set a fee cap and ask for separable public material and written grounds if a portion is withheld.

  • For current custody, ask the Sheriff whether the person is in a short Ray hold or at Harrison County, Lafayette County, or DDCRJ.
  • For a court filing or disposition, use Missouri Case.net or contact the Criminal Circuit Clerk.
  • For a booking record that is no longer on a public display, submit a focused Sunshine request to the County Clerk and Sheriff.
  • For a city-origin incident report, contact the relevant municipal police department or its records route.

Other Official Lookup Routes

Different systems cover different custody stages. A destination jail can address its own current population, while MODOC, federal, and immigration locators serve separate jurisdictions. The Ray County search path explains the sequence and the limits of each source.
